  Spoiled and expired food on shelves. We just grabbed a few basic supplies for our hotel room for the first day. The milk was 2 days expired and sour when purchased (I had a bowl of cereal after bringing I back. I have drank milk past the expiration date, and been fine before, but I don't think the fridge was cold enough at the store for the milk to keep that long. After having a 9 hour flight delay and bugs in our first hotel room, getting sick off milk was not next on my checklist. On top of that much of our food is stale. The oreos were a few weeks from their expiration date, but stale anyways. The same applied to the honey bunches of oats, and pop tarts.
